Wilco is an American alternative rock band that formed after the alternative country music group Uncle Tupelo broke up. Uncle Tupelo co-singer Jeff Tweedy was able to keep the entire Uncle Tupelo lineup sans Farrar, and the group renamed themselves Wilco. The band garnered media attention for its fourth album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, which was their most successful release to date, selling over 670,000 copies.
Wilco's most recent studio album, Star Wars, was released on July 16, 2015.
